PDP

As the move to resolve the crisis confronting the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)   continues   the party’s Board of Trustees, Governors forum, National Assembly caucus, and the National Working Committee meet today in Abuja.

A member of NWC of the party who spoke to me on phone on condition of anonymity disclosed that the party will try and find a lasting solutions to the current crisis and the decision of meeting will be made public.

He also confirmed to me that the members of the NWC of the party met with the embattled chairman Uche Secondus on Sunday and asked him to resign honourably.

Besides the NWC a faction of the PDP National Assembly caucus led by Hon Chinda and loyal to governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers state had also asked Uche Secondus to resign a development that saw house minority leader NDUDI ELUMELU also of PDP countered  and said the National Assembly caucus of the party never met and never told the chairman to resign.

Hon Elumelu said the National Assembly caucus as loyal party members will always abide by the decision of the BOT of the party in resolving the crisis.
