The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State, cp uche John Anozia has
reiterated it commitment in ensuring the security of lives and property
during the Governorship election in Bayelsa State.

                Cp Anozia made the assertion while having close-door
meeting with leaders and stakeholders of political parties in the state,
stressing that the police and other security agencies will collaborate in
ensuring peace during and after the election, the commissioner further
revealed that police is combat ready, those found wanting will be squarely
dealt with and face the full wrath of the law.

                As the  November 16th  2019 Governorship election draw
closer, various political parties are now conducting their party primaries
in selecting their candidates for the Governorship election.

But feelers by revealed that the Governorship race is between the candidate
of PDP and the APC.

                For the issues of bombing  here and there in the state, by
hoodlums,  he said Police is on top and investigation are ongoing In
apprehending the culprits to face the full weight of the law.

                The political security meeting was very interactive as
several recommendations and observations were made, notably Mrs. Charity
Kens Godwin, a woman Governorship candidate from Re-Build Nigeria Party
(RBNP) in her view and observation appealed for protection, nothing that it
is high time woman should be given a slot to become Governor of Bayelsa
State, Stressing that Youths in the state are very violent and special
measures should be taken by the police in protecting them from been
intimidated by the men, she equally used the medium to appreciate the cp
for the interactive session in expressing their views creditably.

                Also, Hon E. Joseph, from movement for Restoration and
Defence of Democracy  (MRDD) equally thanked  the commissioner of Police
for the great meeting, while urging parties to play according to the rules
of the game, he bemoans the non attendance of representatives from APC and
the PDP.

The state Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Mr. (pastor)
Ineye Zidougha thanked the political stakeholders for the interactive
meeting, he said all parties involved in the primaries and the Governorship
election has pledged  ultimate rule of law to prevail in ensuring
transparency  and full sanity, while appealing to police and other security
agencies to be so professional in the discharge of their duties.
