Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the state has started the process of generating  10,000 (ten thousand)  jobs for unemployed  youths through agricultural projects.

Speaking at Elele on Sunday during a reception  marking the coronation and thanksgiving  in honour  Chief Mike Elechi as Obua Weze, Governor Wike said that the 10,000 will be generated via the expansion  of Resonpalm Limited, Ubima.

Represented by the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engineer Chukwuemeka Woke, the governor explained that his administration  is partnering with Siat Limited to plant new nurseries at the Oil Palm Plantation  in Ubima in the extensive  expansion scheme.

He added that the administration  is

in the process of reactivating Delta Rubber Ltd in partnership with private investors to ensure that more jobs are created for the people of the state.

Governor Wike said: “Aside our infrastructural  development across the State, we are working  with  private investors  to  create 10,000 jobs through key agricultural projects.

He asked the people of Elele in Ikwerre Local Government Area to continue to support his administration to improve their standard of living.
